KNOCK IT DOWN
Yose fire 524

Crews from the fire stations in Oakdale were first on the scene Saturday afternoon, May 20 for a fire that started near the river bottom along the 800 block of North Yosemite Avenue, adjacent to the bridge over the Stanislaus River. The fire burned up the hill toward River Oak Grace Community Church but responding agencies were able to quickly knock down the flames and prevent any damage to structures. The fire was contained to less than five acres; crews remained on scene to mop up hot spots for a few hours.
