Nancy Hill, former aide at Knights Ferry School is now teaching First Grade at Sierra View School in Oakdale. Congratulations!

Bessie Roebuck Irvine, former Knights Ferry resident and Knights Ferry School attendee has an art show through August 24th at the Alameda Main Library at 1550 Oak Street, Alameda. Bessie painted the backdrop in the Knights Ferry church of Lover’s Leap in 1954. She has spent much of her later years painting.

The Knights Ferry Garden Club will start the new year with a September 11 meeting in the lovely garden of Bev Hay in Oakdale.

Congratulations Knights Ferry School teachers and students for being one of the top 10 schools in the County scoring proficient or above in Math and English on the STAR test.

At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting last Thursday the new Para-Professional was announced - Christine Phillips. The teachers have been working in their classrooms getting ready for school, which starts August 15.
