Stanislaus County has issued an emergency alert.
According to the notice, released Sunday evening, Sept. 5:
“9 1 1 and non emergency phones are experiencing intermittent interruptions throughout Stanislaus County and beyond. This includes cellular and landline phone communications. We are working with the phone companies on a solution. At this time, text to 9 1 1 is working for all cellular phone providers. If you have an emergency and are unable to get through via the telephone, please attempt text to 9 1 1. We will send out a notification when phone services are restored to normal operations.
The Oakdale Police Department has confirmed that its 9 1 1 system is operational and not being impacted by the 9 1 1 outage.
Please note the Turlock Police Department does not have text to 9 1 1 capabilities.
