Friday morning, June 16, Oakdale Police Department’s Rapid Response Team, along with multiple partner agencies, served four high-risk search warrants following a nearly two-month investigation.

The investigation was triggered by a drive-by shooting at Dorada Park on April 27. During the investigation, detectives discovered that one of the suspects of the search warrant was manufacturing firearms, and others were selling illegal firearms.

The investigation division was able to obtain four search warrants for various locations throughout Oakdale.

As a result of the search warrants, one juvenile was taken into custody for several felony firearms charges. Also, David Campero, 35, of Oakdale was arrested for several felony firearms violations.

Detectives said they will seek an arrest warrant for another suspect from Oakdale.

Oakdale Police Chief Jerry Ramar stated, “The search warrant services demonstrate the cooperation between various law enforcement agencies within the county. We want to thank our partners from the Stanislaus County Sherriff’s Department, Stanislaus County Probation, Ceres Police Department, and Turlock Police Department for their assistance in serving the warrants.”

The investigation into the park shooting is still ongoing, and the investigation into illegal firearms manufacturing is ongoing as well.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Detective Falconi at (209) 605-3519.
