Friends Of Oakdale Library Hosting Used Book Sale
Oakdale library friends

It’s back – a bit smaller, but there will still be treasures to be found. The Friends of the Oakdale Library is hosting a one-day-only used book sale on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the community room of the Oakdale Library. Admission is free.

“Even though e-books are gaining popularity, people still enjoy coming to book sales because browsing through the print books for sale is like a treasure hunt,” said Sharon Arpoika, president of the Friends. “There will be hardback and paperback books – mysteries, thrillers, romance as well as non-fiction titles available at bargain prices.  The books will be roughly sorted by genre or subject.”

The Friends group relies on an annual fund drive, book sale proceeds and donations to augment programs at the Oakdale Library and to help with other library needs.

For information on the sale call Sharon Arpoika at 209-847-2048 or email The Friends of the Oakdale Library is an all-volunteer public service organization. Members of the Friends’ group will be available to answer any questions regarding volunteering or contributing to the Friends of the Oakdale Library.
