DAIRY TALK
O milk

Students at Cloverland Elementary School in Oakdale enjoyed a visit from the Mobile Dairy Classroom, through the Dairy Council of California, on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Miranda Blagg, a Fresno State graduate with a degree in Animal Science, introduced the students and staff to ‘Seven’ – so named because of the coloring on her head – and provided information about the animal and cows in general. The event also included some special recognition for local ‘dairy heroes’ who help provide nutritious milk and milk products for students. On hand to receive the honor were Oakdale Joint Unified School District Director of Café Services Chef Jason Beach, and members of his staff, Tyler Wilson, Shellie Kupsak and Amy Cooper. They were all featured on a ‘Got Milk?’ framed poster, drinking milk, which was presented to Beach by Blagg, much to the delight of the students.
