Suspicious Activity Leads To Arrest Of Four
Oakdale police 1

Four people gathered at the rear of a U-Haul truck parked at Jerry’s Motel on East F Street garnered the attention of Oakdale Police Sergeant Joe Carrillo as he drove past the location around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan 30. A closer examination by the veteran sergeant revealed that one of the subjects, a male, was attempting to pick the lock of the truck that was parked at the side of the establishment.

Sgt. Carrillo called for additional units and detained the subjects to investigate what he had observed.

According to police, reasons explaining the activity by the subjects were inconsistent, but police determined none of the subjects were the renter of the truck, with some stating that it had been left by “a friend” and their property was inside.

During the police investigation, officers recovered a stolen bicycle, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia with all four subjects getting arrested on various charges.

Dorothy Skinner, 27, of Oakdale, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding arrest warrant.

Nicholas Perez, 25, of Oakdale, was arrested for possession of stolen property and two outstanding arrest warrants.

James Paz, 23, of Lodi, was arrested for possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property and violation of probation.

Misty Driver, 23, of Oakdale was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All subjects were booked at Stanislaus County Jail.

Police are still investigating to determine if additional crimes occurred. Anyone with information about the incident should contact Sergeant Carrillo or the Oakdale Police department at (209) 847-2231.
