A noontime probation search on Thursday, June 9 by members of the Oakdale Police and Stanislaus County Probation Department resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine and the probationer, a convicted felon, going to jail for possessing the drugs and prohibited firearms.

Oakdale Police Sergeant Joseph Carrillo said that the team of officers conducted the search on the 500 block of East H Street and at the time of the contact, three other persons were in the house, all of whom were also on searchable probation.

During the search, officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia along with three firearms in the subject’s bedroom.

Police stated the resident, Donald A. Pagni, 51, is a convicted felon and prohibited by law from possessing any firearms. He was on searchable probation from a 2014 arrest.

Pagni was arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia, and violation of probation.

A check with the Stanislaus County Superior Court shows Pagni has an extensive criminal history for narcotics and other crimes.

He was being held on $50,000 bail.
