ZOOM Into AAUW

Tc Adams, an Oakdale High School alum, will address the next meeting of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Oakdale Riverbank Escalon Branch, a virtual session on March 10. Tc, who grew up in Oakdale, will chronicle the many twists and turns her educational path took and she will speak via ZOOM to AAUW, ORE members on Thursday, March 10 at 7 p.m. Her story focuses on her experiences of studying abroad, developing an internationally based inter-disciplinary arts festival, exploring dual cultures, and having a crash course in crisis management during her master’s program. Delta Drama

On stage Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13, Delta Drama presents “And Then There Were None,” the stage version of one of Agatha Christie’s darkest and most successful mystery novels. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m. with the Sunday matinee at 2 p.m., at Tillie Lewis Theatre on the Delta College campus in Stockton. Admission is free. COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative test is required to attend, as are masks. Free tickets are available at the Delta Center for the Arts Box Office online or by calling (209) 954-5110. Recommended for ages 10 and up. In Christie’s “And Then There Were None,” 10 strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal, and a secret that will seal their fate: Each has been marked for murder.

 

Spaghetti Fundraiser

Knights Ferry Community Club is putting on its annual Spaghetti Diner, scheduled for Saturday, March 12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Club House, Main Street, Knights Ferry. Dinner incudes spaghetti, salad, roll and dessert; let them do the cooking, come dine in or drive up and take it to go. Tickets are $10 each. Craft Fair Upcoming

A Spring Craft Fair is being planned at the North Modesto Church of God, 1918 Sherwood Ave., Modesto, for Saturday, March 19 as a fundraiser for the 2022 Relay For Life. Those wishing to purchase booth space can get a 10-by-10 booth for $40 and are asked to provide a prize for drawings; proceeds from the booth fees and ticket sales for drawings are split between the American Cancer Society and the North Modesto Church of God. Come And Dance

Check out the Golden Agers at the Riverbank Community Center on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with dancing, socializing, live music and fun for all. All adults 55-plus are welcome. Weight Loss Support

All interested are welcome to join TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) a weight support group that meets in Oakdale every Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church on Poplar. Widowed Persons Meet

Oakdale Widowed Persons Group invites you to join them the first Saturday of each month for breakfast at 9 a.m. and on the third Tuesday of each month for lunch at 1 p.m.; call for locations.
