City Halloween Parade Scheduled For Tuesday

Halloween is just around the corner and the City of Oakdale is once again hosting the Annual Halloween Parade and Festival. The festivities are scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event is the perfect time to celebrate Halloween, participate in the costume contest, enjoy free food, and play kid-friendly games.

All are welcome to attend, in costume or not, and the parade will begin at 5 p.m. at the Oakdale Youth Building, on the corner of West H Street and Gilbert Avenue. The parade will head out on Gilbert and turn east on G Street, ending at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., which is where the festival will take place. Food will be served, with fun and games also offered at the Oakdale Town Plaza adjacent to the center.

The event will end at 7 p.m.; a perfect time to go trick-or-treating throughout the community from there.
