Chamber Of Commerce Looking For Nominations

Looking ahead to January, the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce has put out the call for nominations for its 75th Annual Awards Dinner.

The nomination period is open now and the deadline to nominate a business, individual or organization is Wednesday, Nov. 11. The awards dinner itself is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at 6 p.m.

Nominations are sought for: Citizen of the Year; Business of the Year; Junior Achievement; and Community Service.

For the Citizen, Junior Achievement and Community Service honors, the nominees are recognized for their efforts, having “worked unselfishly by dedicating their time to improve the quality of life” in Oakdale, as well as in the community by helping others.

The Business of the Year award is designed to honor businesses “that worked unselfishly by dedicating their time” to improve the local quality of life, as well as demonstrating excellence in one or more of the following areas in 2020: Customer Service, Community Spirit, Innovative Products/Services or Leadership.
