United Way Organizations Benefit From RV Sales

Throughout the month of January, Best RV Center in Turlock will donate $100 for every vehicle sold to United Ways serving the Central Valley. United Ways from Sacramento to Fresno will benefit from this drive.

“The generosity of Best RV Center will help a lot of people in need this winter,” said Francine DiCiano, President and CEO of United Way, Stanislaus County. “We see a tremendous jump in 211 calls this time of year. So we know that a lot more people are in crisis during the winter months.”

The funds raised through the drive will support United Ways of Stanislaus County, Sacramento County (Capital Region), San Joaquin County, Merced County and Fresno County. Each United Way operates independently but all of them focus on building a stronger community through impacting education, financial stability and health of people served.

Partner agencies will be receiving a much-needed boost in funding as a result of the upcoming drive. United Way began in Denver, Colorado, in 1887 as a means to help nonprofits by raising money to support their community impact. Over time, however, United Way has evolved from its roots as a fundraising organization to a critical community convener, mobilizing local agencies to meet more long term needs in individual communities. Many United Ways have moved to Initiative Based Funding, which tackles community issues with a holistic approach. United Way of Stanislaus County launched an Education Initiative in 2013 to help raise the high school graduation rate in the county as a pro-active approach to improving the overwhelming need for human services in the county.

Best RV Center is a strong partner for nonprofit agencies in Stanislaus County and is compassionate about the needy residents living in the community. As the largest RV dealer in the state, and the third largest in the US, Best RV Center sells over 1,500 vehicles each year. According to dealership Co-Owner, Nile Ammari, partnering with the United Ways on this drive is a simple strategy for helping the community.

“We have been very successful in the RV business for over ten years and want to help others lead successful lives as well. Shoppers visit our dealership from all over California and this is one way we can give them something back that will make a difference throughout the Central Valley.”

Each Saturday through the month of January, Best RV Center will be hosting a United Way information table, offering free food and live music. The dealership is at 5340 Taylor Court, Turlock, near the Taylor Road Exit.
