The California Chamber of Commerce has named the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce as one of 28 local chambers of commerce to receive the 2015 President’s Circle Award. The award, presented during its annual conference in Sacramento, was first presented in 2009 and recognizes chambers for excellence in business advocacy and helping their members comply with California employment laws.
The President’s Circle award recipients published vote records of their state legislators on key business issues, generated letters to state elected officials on issues of interest to members and participated in the California Chamber compliance product resale program at an exemplary level.
“The Oakdale Chamber is honored to be recognized as an Advocacy Partner with Cal Chamber,” said Mary Guardiola, CEO of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce. “Annually we provide each business member with the current California and Federal Employment Notices posters in January to keep them in compliance.”
Guardiola said the Oakdale Chamber also participates in weekly conference calls regarding business legislation and communicate to businesses when support is needed. They also include the Senate and Assembly voting records periodically in its e-newsletter for members.
