A girl, Melanie Escoto, was born December 7, 2009 to expectant parents Javier Escoto and Aracely Esquer of Oakdale. The newborn weighed five pounds, 11 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.
Angel Esquer and Maria Jesus Alatorre of Mexico are the maternal grandparents.
Daniel Escote and Maria Elena Costilla of Mexico are paternal grandparents.
