A boy, Luke Martin Machado, was born Jan. 13, 2011 to expectant parents Ron and Nichole Machado of Modesto. The newborn weighed eight pounds, six ounces upon arrival at Doctors Medical Center.

The mother is the former Nicole Nunes.

Alvin and Darlene Nunes of Valley Home are the maternal grandparents.

Tom and Lori Machado of Newman are paternal grandparents.
