Oakdale’s varsity volleyball boys played two league games last week. They won against Central Catholic on March 27 and lost to East Union on March 29, both in three sets.

“We went to the East Union Tournament on Saturday, April 1 and unfortunately went 0-4 there,” said head coach Kelly Nasrawi. “We were in a tough pool, but it was a great experience to see some of the better teams out there. I think it was eye-opening for our boys.”

Jace Rau leads the team in kills, with a 27 percent kill percentage; Jebb Fox has 47 assists and also leads in digs, with 14 total. Griffin Paulus has a 13 percent ace percentage; Nick Chacon is leading in blocks, with five total.

“We continue to struggle finishing and getting the win, however the boys are improving all the time. We have struggled with a few injuries on both levels, so we are just trying to stay healthy for the remainder of the season,” Nasrawi said.
