With practices allowed as of Monday, July 25, members of the Oakdale High School Mustang football program were in The Corral to start workouts. Head coach Trent Merzon returns to lead the varsity Mustangs this season, looking to be competitive in the Valley Oak League and get back to the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs. Monday featured some instruction on the field as well as work with the blocking bags. The workouts can build in intensity as the days go by, with the team gearing up for a number of preseason contests prior to starting the tough VOL schedule.
