Oakdale wrestler Cody Soares was one of the Mustangs taking part in the two-day Engel Tournament hosted at nearby Escalon High School, Jan. 5 and 6. Here, Soares takes control in a 154-pound match against an Oak Ridge opponent. Soares outlasted his competitor, scoring an 8-3 decision. The Mustangs will be back in action this weekend at the Tim Brown Tournament in Sacramento.
