Dear Editor,

Unheard of in high school football history, starting with Coach Dale Clipper’s tenure as head football coach in 1959, we have had 60 consecutive years and counting, where an Oakdale High School graduate has been the Mustangs Head Football Coach.

After Coach Clipper held the reins for an unprecedented 21 seasons, the next highly-regarded OHS Coaches were Jim Gilbert, Mike Riley, Mark Malone and presently Trent Merzon.

We proudly celebrate and give thanks for the dedicated, highly-dignified and inspirational coaching of our successful, skillful and competitive teams all these years to carry on our winning “Mustang Pride” tradition.
