This is an open letter to citizens of Oakdale.

Dear Neighbors:

Are you concerned about the homeless issues?

While many have raised concerns, we would now like to be part of the solution.

It is our vision to foster cooperative citizens and opportunities for life changes, by providing: structured, assertive support; transportation assistance to take advantage of government resources; humane necessities (e.g. showers, bathroom, laundry); a mailing address and pickup process; secure lockers; realistic employment opportunities; and support to follow-up on housing opportunities, as well as prevent homeless situations.

Oakdale Rescue Mission is already doing much of this, and it is our hope to develop a day center where we will establish these and other services at a secure, permanent location.
