Two years ago we infused new blood onto the Oakdale City Council. We need to do that again to continue to rebuild a newer, leaner and effective city. Measure O, a temporary tax, allowed us to keep our police and fire departments at acceptable levels and insure that we would be able to keep the senior and community centers functioning not to mention the parks, gutters and lights in our city.
Those who actively worked against that effort, incumbents on the council and recycled former members must be turned away. We do not need negativity, broken ideas or crushed egos. What we need are fresh new people looking for positive ways to move forward. Oakdale deserves the best.
