Thomas William Gutierrez, 71, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 6.

Mr. Gutierrez was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

After dabbling in various trades, he settled on truck driving, which he did for more than 40 years before retiring in 2011.

He was a lifetime member of the Oakdale Saddle Club. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering in his garage on anything with a motor.

He is survived by his wife, Bonni; daughters, Sara (Donald) DeCavit, Elena Gutierrez; brothers, Edward, Andrew, Arnold, John; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Gutierrez; and father, Arnold Gutierrez.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, June 23 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 10806 Bond Road, Oakdale.
