Shelli A. Thomason, 43, died Saturday, Aug. 28.She was born in Patterson and lived there six years. She moved with her family to Urbana, MO, living there for over three years. The family returned to California, and she has lived in Oakdale for over 30 years. She attended Oakdale schools.When she was 18, her father taught her to drive 18-wheelers. She loved driving truck and did so until she was injured in 1992.Ms. Thomason also enjoyed riding horses and having dogs all her life. She loved her Boston terrier dog, Diamond.She loved giving and also taking care of her mother and her nieces. She wanted them to have everything they needed. She also helped her aunt and always tried to take care of her brother as well.She is survived by her parents, Neita and Scottie Thomason; brother, Darin (Marsha); grandparents, Loyd and Chesteen Reynolds; nieces, Carly and Rachel; aunt, Linda; special friend, Tami T.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bruce and Oma Thomason; a brother; cousins; and great-grandparents.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Oakdale Masonic Lodge, P.O.
