Robert Lee ‘Bob’ Stanley, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 5 with family by his side.

He was a longtime resident of Oakdale. He was a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Stanley was a Lieutenant Colonel (retired) from the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was the owner of Cal-Agri Products.

He was a member of the Greater Yosemite Council of The Boy Scouts of America, the Oakdale Lions Club, and the Oakdale Police Department’s Citizen’s Auxiliary Police Services (C.A.P.S.).

He also enjoyed singing Barbershop Music with The Golden Valley Chorus.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Hayes of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Kenneth Stanley of Nashville, TN, James Stanley of Oakdale; sister, Joann Bowers of Boyne City, MI; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lumarie.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24 at Community United Methodist Church, 1480 Poplar Ave., Oakdale, with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
