Phillip Eugene Trahan Sr., 55, died Tuesday, May 17.

He was born in Pittsburg.

Mr. Trahan loved fishing, hanging with friends and family. He was known to his friends as Flip.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Trahan of Oakdale; children, Jody Trahan, Casey Trahan, Michael Trahan, all of Oakdale; mother, Shirley Thomas of Empire; sisters, Becky Cole, Loretta Eldridge, Wanda Thomas, all of Modesto, Rhonda Van Houten of Empire, Phyliss Eldridge of Everson, WA; brother, Mike Thomas of Empire; five grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Trahan, Jr.; father, Walter Trahan; stepfather, Mike Thomas; and grandparents, Carl and Agnes Guthrie.

A viewing was at Oakdale Memorial Chapel on May 23, a graveside service was held May 24 at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.
