Marylin went to grade school in Waterford, and graduated from Oakdale High School. The one thing she always talked about was the band and music. She went to San Jose State for two years and during this time was courted by Roger Erickson. They were married on February 26, 1950 in Empire, CA.

Marylin was involved in many organizations in and around Waterford. She also played golf in her younger years, but her favorite was playing bridge. If she knew someone that could play she was ready to play. She had an electric bridge game that she could only play because she had worn the numbers off the keys.
She belonged to the National Cattlewomen Assn. and was Cattlewoman of the Year 1989-90 for California. She spent that time traveling all over United States promoting the Beef industry.
Marylin and Roger enjoyed traveling. From travel trailers, many cruises including Alaska and Mexico, train across Canada and a trip to Norway. They enjoyed going to Desert Hot Springs in the winter with their dog Maggie. Some of her most enjoyable time was spent at the cabin at the Dardanelles with her family gathered around her.
She will be missed by all her family and friends. At her request there will be no service.
