John Ryan Van Unen was born in Manteca, CA April 16, 1973.  He entered into rest September 16, 2016 at age 43. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1991 and attended Modesto Junior College. He was employed as an anodizer at Pac West Coating. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, kind heart and willingness to help those in need. He loved music, fishing, motorcycles and had a special love for his daughter Amber Van Unen. He is survived by his daughter Amber Van Unen of Oklahoma City, his parents John and Linda Van Unen of Oakdale, sister Lisa (Ramon) Martinez, nephews Alex and Nathan Martinez of Modesto, and partner Carly Spangler of Riverbank. “Johnny” will be greatly missed, but always remembered. Private services were held at Bloomingcamp Ranch in Oakdale September 26, 2016.
