Born in Texas, to Parents Sanford and Virgie Sansing.
At the time of her passing she had been a resident of Oakdale since 1950.
Her hobbies included bowling, camping, dancing and horseback riding in her early years. She enjoyed gardening of all kinds. Whether it was a bountiful vegetable garden or yard blooms or household plants she delighted in sharing her gift of a green thumb.
She enjoyed volunteering and especially for the Spirit of Oakdale, Thanksgiving day meal. She was a Bluebird leader, 4-H leader, Cub Scout leader and when called upon to help in many other groups as well. She was a member of the Oakdale Bowling League, Oakdale Saddle Club where she volunteered to oversee the cook shack at the annual Oakdale Rodeo, as well as organizing the Rodeo parade (parade participants, lining up the day of, etc.).
One of her greatest joys was cooking and sharing with others.
She made meals for friends, family and always jumped in to help where ever she was needed.
She began her employment at the age of 46 working several different jobs, including being self-employed and had her own business cleaning houses and local businesses. She eventually settled in at providing in-home care for Alzheimer and Dementia patients. She retired at the age of 82.
Spending time with family sharing stories, laughing and of course meals was her greatest treasured joy.
She was a prayer warrior to many and was delighted to be asked to pray for friends and family. She never knew a stranger and always left a hug everywhere she went.
She is preceded in death by eight of her siblings: James Sansing, Charles Sansing, Nell Randall, Ruth Evans, Juanita Johns, Faye Cox, Minnie Morris and Shirley Jaco, her granddaughter Courtney Webb and grandson Scott Steeley.
Survivors include: younger brother Darrell Sansing (90) of Reseda, CA; daughter Gaye Webb Steeley (Dave); granddaughter Katie Steeley of Oakdale; son Bruce Webb (Sheila) of Valley Springs; granddaughter Cierra Lane (Ethan) and grandson Daniel Webb; grandsons Chris Stephens (Crystal), Alex Stephens, Russell Stephens (Stephanie Burton).
She is also loved by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sept. 6, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Life Community Church, 105 East G St., Oakdale, CA.
