Hilderico ‘Rico’ Martin, 89, died Friday, March 26 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson.

He was a native of Newman. He lived in Oakdale 35 years.

Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Army.

He was a dairyman and rancher all his life.

He is survived by his children, Beverly Relvas, Gene Martin, and Velma Mendonca, all of Modesto; sisters, Elsie Oliveria of Escondido and Velma Nunes of San Luis Obispo; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Park. A visitation and rosary was held March 30 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
