Henry Medrano, 62, of Riverbank died Wednesday, July 14, while enjoying one of his favorite hobbies, fishing, in Sonoma County.He was born in Oakdale to Abelardo and Maria Medrano, the youngest of nine children. He attended Oakdale schools and lived in the Riverbank area all his life.Mr. Medrano worked for the Oakdale Joint Unified School District for 33 years.He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, they were his pride and joy. He had a large extended family and friends, who he loved dearly.He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Anita Medrano of Riverbank; children, Richard Medrano of Riverbank, Frank Medrano of Oakdale, Enrique ‘J.J.’ Medrano, Jr. of Riverbank; sisters, Mary Vasquez of Riverbank, Rosa Medrano of Riverbank, Phyllis Perez of Modesto; brother, Chencho Medrano of Oakdale, Cesario Estrada of Modesto; grandchildren, Megan Perez, Heather Medrano, Broderick Medrano; great-grandson, Jaydon Perez; and nieces, Lisa Vasquez of Riverbank, Irene Nunez of Modesto, Fran Westwater of Pleasant Hill.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Riverbank Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, also at the chapel.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in his memory to Oakdale High School Sports Boosters, P.O.
