Guadalupe Lupe Aguayo-Reyes

Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ Aguayo-Reyes, 77, died in his sleep on Friday, Feb. 4 at his home.

He was born in Mexico, but spent his adult life in Northern California. He spent the last 25 years in Oakdale.

Mr. Aguayo was a horse trainer by trade. He had a passion for horses. His second love was team and individual roping.

He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sons, Victor Aguayo, Albert Aguayo; daughters, Toni (Curtis) Hume, Rose (Daryle) Blue; nine grandchildren; and his companion, Monta Hunter.

A remembrance gathering will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 11131 Rodden Road, Oakdale. A reception will follow at 10591 Gibbs Drive, Oakdale.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
