Gregg Haskell, 57, died Tuesday, May 18.

He was a resident of Knights Ferry since 1989 and was also a resident of Salem, OR. He spent much time in the Knights Ferry area since the 1970s.

Mr. Haskell received his Bachelors degree from Northern Arizona University and earned his Masters of Engineering degree from UC Berkeley.

He was a consulting structural engineer and held a patent.

He was an avid bow hunter and was regularly at Golden Arrow. He also recently joined the Oakdale Sportsmen’s Club, and was a member of the NFAA (National Field Archery Association).

He could also be found most Monday mornings and Wednesday evenings at the River’s Edge in Knights Ferry.

The family appreciates friends and neighbors who have helped them with the family cabin in Knights Ferry.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Haskell of Salem, OR; sons, Owen Haskell a senior at Oregon State University, James Haskell a sophomore at Chemeketa Community College in Oregon; father, O.W. Haskell of Manteca; sisters, Laura Simons, Shavon Haskell, and Dolleen Haskell, all of Knights Ferry.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 12 at the Knights Ferry Community Church. A wake will follow at 3 p.m. at The River’s Edge, Knights Ferry.
