George Motz, age 85, a longtime resident of Oakdale, CA, passed away Thursday, January 9th, 2020 after a long illness. He was born in French Camp on July 18, 1934, and was raised in Lockeford, CA, the son of George and Ruth Motz.
George was a veteran of the US Navy, and worked for the city of Oakdale for his entire career, retiring as Director of Planning and Development.
He enjoyed gardening, loved spending time with family, and was a fan of the Giants and the 49’ers.
George is survived by his mother, Ruth Motz of Lodi, CA, sons, John (wife Laurie) of Atwater, CA, Richard (wife Lori) of Oakdale CA, three Grandsons, Rich (wife Allison), Andy, and Daniel, and two great grandsons Parker and Henry. George is preceded in death by his father George Sr., and his great granddaughter Ingrid Motz. We are grateful to Astoria Senior Living in Oakdale for their loving care for George.
Memorial Service will be at Oakdale Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1 p.m.
