Felix A. Valverde, 80, died Friday, July 23 at Doctors Medical Center.

He was a native of New Mexico. He lived in Oakdale 65 years.

Mr. Valverde served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation.

He worked for Hershey’s for 30 years, and also for Bill DeSimas.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Valverde of Oakdale; children, Vency Erb, Connie Rich, Fidela Valverde, Felix Valverde, Jr., all of Oakdale, Florence Trapp of Modesto, David Valverde of Empire; sisters, Laura Keith, Maria Gallegos, both of Oakdale; brother, Abbey Gallegos of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakdale Citizen’s Cemetery.
