Dixie Licorish

Dixie Cecelia Licorish, 89, died Monday, Nov. 8 at Doctor’s Hospital, Manteca.

She was a native of Memphis, Tennessee and lived in Oakdale for 30 years.

Mrs. Licorish served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

She was a physical education teacher for 10 years.

She was active in the senior center and was one of the first local volunteers at the Oakdale Library.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Licorish; daughter, Judy Lyday, both of Oakdale; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services have been held.
