Betty Amaral, 92 years old, passed away surrounded by family, on April 26, 2023 in Oakdale, California. Betty was born in Modesto, California on May 30, 1930 to Joseph and Evelyn Pimentel. She was the oldest of six children. Betty married Clarence Amaral on April 12, 1953. Together Betty and Clarence raised five daughters and enjoyed over 66 years together. In their younger years Betty and Clarence enjoyed going dancing together every Saturday night. Betty loved it most when she was surrounded by her large family.

Betty is survived by her five daughters, Patty Traini (Tony), Liz Amaral, Joann Amaral (Bart), Mary Jones (Dennis) and Angie Amaral. She was a proud Nana to her 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind three sisters, Mary Gilbert, Barbara Bailey and Genny Brown, all of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Amaral, her daughter, Clara Ann Amaral, her brother, Joe Pimentel and sister, Evelyn Smith.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Oakdale Memorial Chapel with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale, California at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12 followed by burial at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.
