Bertha Mae Riggs, born on Sept 16, 1923 in Niles (raised in San Francisco) CA, passed away at age 102½ on March 29, 2026, “Palm Sunday”.

Bertha has called Oakdale her home for the past 12 years. Bertha was very active in her church and found the greatest joy in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Bertha was the beloved wife of Ken Riggs who predeceased her on March 24, 2007. She is survived by her sons, Michael F. Crawford, Joel S. Crawford and Paul S. Crawford and daughter Nina Crawford Wright. She is also survived by grandchildren Shelby Kenna Wright, Brian Crawford, Aaron Crawford and Jacob Crawford, (Lori Crawford and Kevin Crawford predeceased). Bertha is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be April 17, 2026 at the LDS Church, 1111 East A St., Oakdale, CA. A viewing will be at the church 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Service will take place 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Oakdale, CA. Please consider carpooling as parking will be limited in both locations. Public parking available across the street from the cemetery adjacent to the senior center on A Street.
