To the delight of many, the Oakdale Morning Market will resume this Saturday, May 3, kicking off its new season. The market will run each Saturday, May 3 through Sept. 27, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and more than 50 vendors are set to be on hand for the inaugural 2025 event, bringing their wares downtown to North Third Avenue, between E and F streets.
From fan favorites Backroad Blooms with their plethora of beautiful flowers to Frontier Organics with their wide array of organic beauty products and food from hot dogs by Dog N Out to mini sweet treats by The Holy Doughnut, multiple vendors will be on site once again so there really will be something for everyone. The market also serves up fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade artisan breads, local honey and cheeses, and more.
The May 3 line-up features: Artist in Residence, Art by Audie; Featured Musician, Alex Lucero; Featured Non-Profit, Care 2 U Oral Care Administrative Services; Kids Corner, Knights Ferry Elementary School District; Market Partner, Oakdale New Car Dealers; Music Sponsor, Danielle Sanders, Realtor. Oakdale New Car Dealers has joined in as the month of May sponsor; while SIG Solar, Solar Installation Group, is the season sponsor. The off-site season sponsor is Greet Oakdale.
A new addition to the Kids Corner this year will be a Charlotte’s Cure “Take a Book” Station, where once a month, Charlotte Schmitt’s grandmother Gigi, a former librarian, will be on hand to help kids select a book to enjoy.
The Morning Market, which operates in Oakdale under the umbrella of the Love Oakdale non-profit, has been thriving since it began a few years ago and Love Oakdale Director Lisa Kjeldgaard said they are looking forward to bringing new vendors in each year as it continues to evolve.
“We are so excited to have another year and to celebrate Oakdale and we look forward to seeing everyone come out to show their support,” Kjeldgaard said.
Roxanne Simons is the Market Manager with Mindy Johnson serving as Creative Director. The rest of the team includes Manny Guajardo, Music Manager; Lynn Sarrade, Kids Corner Director; Jennie Chavez, OYE! Director; Nancy Podolsky, Non-Profit and Artist Coordinator; and Shari Borba, Marketing Assistant.
The Morning Market is a rain or shine event; bring the family and stop by to enjoy some of the local art, music, food and unique gifts that businesses in Oakdale and the surrounding area have to offer.
