Volunteers being sought for August ‘Night Out’
NNO 25

National Night Out returns to Oakdale this summer, and organizers are calling on community members to help make it a night to remember.

The main annual event, aimed at strengthening neighborhood ties and building police-community partnerships, will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Burchell Park (located at Burchell Hill Drive and Jacob Way). Volunteers are needed to help bring the event to life.

“National Night Out is all about community connection,” organizers said. “It’s a chance to meet neighbors, support public safety, and have a great time doing it.”

Volunteer opportunities at the Burchell Park gathering include:

Setting up tents and tables;

Assisting vendors or activity booths;

Helping with food preparation or grilling;

Donating or lending equipment;

Joining the clean-up crew after the event.

Those interested in volunteering must sign up by Wednesday, July 31. To register, visit: https://form.jotform.com/251597251089162

Whether you can spare an hour or the whole evening, every helping hand makes a difference. Join the effort to make National Night Out 2025 a fun and memorable experience for the entire Oakdale community.
