Hi everyone, I hope you all are enjoying a very nice week. Fall is definitely in the air. Leaves on area trees are turning a beautiful rustic orangish yellow.

This week I would like to ask each of you to help raise funds for our precious Jett Trunnell. Jett is our local young man who is battling a very aggressive form of cancer. Jett is 14 years old and is an amazing young man … he has been diagnosed with a very rare cancer, Osteosarcoma. Let’s keep praying. He is on a very difficult journey. Jett has spent weeks in a Texas hospital, but is now back in his hometown of Oakdale. He is receiving treatment while awaiting the next steps. Doctors are working around the clock to make sure Jett receives the very best treatment and care possible.
I ask for your continued prayers for Jett. Praying is most important, but there is also something else we can do. On Saturday, October 25 at 6:30pm, we will hold our annual Valley Home Fall Harvest Festival. We will send out more information on all the Harvest Festival fun very soon. Today I wanted to share with each of you that yes, we will have the inside kitchen as usual (inside the gym) at the Harvest Festival and all proceeds from the inside kitchen will go to our school. However, outside at the Harvest Festival we will have a delicious BBQ dinner with proceeds going to Jett. This dinner will feature a BBQ Tri Tip Meal for $25. The meal must be ordered and prepaid before October 20. Please order your dinners by calling or texting Winnie Mullins at 209-985-5233. All checks should be made payable to Tiffany Trunnell (Jett’s mother) with the name Jett Trunnell on the memo line.
Your support can make a huge difference in Jett’s life. If you can’t purchase dinner, please consider donating whatever you can to this wonderful young man. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Let’s do everything we can to help Jett in his fight against this horrible disease. God bless our precious Jett.
