Please consider attending an upcoming extremely IMPORTANT meeting. We need to be able to keep our Homeowners Insurance and our Fire Protection.
All over California, fire stations are closing … People are losing their Homeowners Insurance … this is absolutely a disaster in the making. It can hit any area, and our Oakdale, Knights Ferry, Valley Home and outlying areas are now beginning to be affected. Valley Home has, for the time being, had the doors to their much needed Fire House closed. This not only affects Valley Home but also has had a very adverse effect on Oakdale, Knights Ferry and all surrounding areas. When lifesaving help is needed for anyone in these areas, the closest engine may already be on an emergency call far from your location. Our fire, as most all fire departments, serves a huge area … those who live in the city are served by the same engines that serve our rural areas. When a station closes many, many lives are in danger. Lives are in danger in every part of our huge district. This is not acceptable. Folks work hard for what they have … all deserve fire protection and fire insurance. Please come to this important meeting, October 5th, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at 280 N. Third Ave., Oakdale. I know we are all very, very busy, please consider making the time to come to this meeting. The information we will hear at this meeting could save our own lives, and especially the lives of those we love so dearly … our families’ lives. It is IMPORTANT to be at this meeting. Thank you to those who are giving up their time to bring this information to us. We will hear from the California Insurance Commissioner’s Office, Local Agents, Assembly Member Heath Flora and Oakdale Mayor Cher Bairos. This is important information that we all need.

Go Mustangs! Last week’s Varsity football game against Sheldon: Oakdale 41, Sheldon 6. This Friday night we will see an exciting game … tremendous rivalry as the Escalon Cougars will visit the Oakdale Mustangs in The Corral. We all know Marg is rooting for both teams … or do we? Come on out Friday night, Sept. 15 … lots of friendly banter on and off the field!
