I am so happy to share this wonderful news with all of you. Our former Valley Home girl, Lainey (Smith) Page and her husband Riley have welcomed their first child home to their Texas ranch. Lainey and Riley’s precious little daughter Rayna Judith Page was born on July 29. Baby Rayna arrived at 1:25pm and weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz., and was 19 inches long. Mom, Dad and baby Rayna are all doing great.

Lainey and Riley were excited to share their joy with family and friends at their beautiful ranch in Comanche County. Riley and Lainey raise cattle, train horses and have a custom leather business. Both Lainey and Riley work long hours, but are eagerly looking forward to their new routines as Mom and Dad. They are excited to see their sweet baby Rayna grow up in the beautiful Lonestar, State of Texas. Lainey and Riley look forward to instilling in her the values of the western way of life. Lainey grew up in Valley Home. Many of you will remember our sweet Lainey. She was always ready to help with any fundraiser and with any event in Valley Home. We miss her so very much. Texas has gained an amazing young woman. When Lainey met Riley she immediately knew he was her soulmate. Congratulations to these two wonderful young people and their sweet baby Rayna. We are so proud of our Texas family.

This week we were excited to welcome our Oakdale Thunderbird home for a short visit. Technical Sergeant Wyatt Bankus is a member of the prestigious United States Air Force Thunderbirds. Wyatt doesn’t usually get to visit his hometown as he is busy traveling to Air Shows all across the country. He and the Thunderbirds travel to several Air Shows in different states each month. As a United States Air Force Thunderbird Crew Chief his responsibilities are tremendous. Wyatt is an exceptional young man. He has amazing skills, talent, and is extremely knowledgeable. He is also well mannered and deeply caring. Recently Wyatt gained another accolade as he was promoted to Technical Sergeant; a promotion earned by hard work and much dedication. Wyatt’s home base is Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is extremely busy; just a few days before he came home, he was in Wyoming. It’s been a whirlwind visit to his hometown. He is trying to squeeze in as many visits as he can. We send a special thank you to the Verdegaal family for a very special day of golfing for Wyatt at his hometown golf course. He is enjoying his time at home and especially enjoying his time with his dog Queen. Queen loves being home in Oakdale. In the short trip home, Wyatt has been able to spend very special time with his mom Marie. He will be heading back to Nellis Air Force Base in just a few days. It has been wonderful to have him back in his hometown. God bless our military; God bless our Oakdale Thunderbird.
