With apologies for the late notice, but with a huge “thank you” to Shanna Springer, I can share this wonderful news with each of you.

On Wednesday, February 25 there will be a gathering on F Street in front of the Gene Bianchi Community Center to send our Oakdale High wrestlers off to the State Meet. Let’s show them how proud we are of their hard work and amazing accomplishments.

Whether you know them personally or are a proud supporter of our Oakdale Mustangs, come downtown and let them know how much you care. We will gather in front of the Bianchi Center in the Oakdale Town Plaza area at 2:10pm. Please come … bring your signs and banners … we will show our Oakdale Mustang spirit. If you need a sign, please let me know; we are making homemade signs and would be happy to bring you one. Let’s show our Mustang pride. The buses with the boys are scheduled to roll past the Bianchi Community Center between 2:20pm and 2:25pm. This timeline will allow their Oakdale classmates that want to support them the time to line up on F Street.

Our Oakdale wrestlers have poured their heart and soul into each of their matches. They have worked very hard. They have come away victorious. They have faced grueling schedules along with very formidable opponents. Our Oakdale wrestlers have wrestled with tremendous grit, tremendous skill, and have a tremendous work ethic. A special thanks to their amazing coaches. The wrestlers have a very dedicated group of supporters: parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, friends, school staff, and community members. We are so proud of these hardworking young athletes. Let’s send them off to State in a huge way. I hope to see you Wednesday afternoon. God bless our Mustangs.
