Hi everyone, I hope you are all staying warm. First … congratulations to our Oakdale High School football team on an amazing season! I was blessed to be able to be among the crowd of supporters cheering our team on as they left Oakdale! When those buses turned the corner … the crowd, Mustang signs held high, cheers in the air, cars honking, townspeople showing their support … the sendoff was really amazing. The amount of pride that was felt throughout that crowd and on the streets of Oakdale was incredible. Many of those same folks would follow the team to the big game! Congratulations to our 2025 Oakdale High Mustang football team on a tremendous season.

This week, I would like to share details of our Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade. Our Christmas parade will be on Saturday, December 20 at 6:30pm. No signups, just make sure your lighted entry is in line by 6:15pm. The parade will step off at 6:30pm. Just show up and have a good time. Each entry must be safe and in good taste. Each entry must have lights.

All entries need to line up near the front of our Pioneer school campus. Immediately following the parade, we will gather at the edge of the park to light our community Christmas tree. We will sing two Christmas carols together, then pastor will lead us in a very special prayer together for 14-year-old Jett and all who are suffering. If you have someone you would like added to the prayer list, please text or telephone me, Winnie, at 209-985-5233 and I will let the pastor know. During the prayer we will have a special blessing, with Baby Jesus in the manger scene.

This year we will once again honor our beautiful Bonnie with our Christmas Cookie Exchange; bring a dozen, take a dozen. We will also have a very special “Christmas Hot Chocolate Toast” to our Valley Home leaders who left us this year. It should be a wonderful evening. We will be together for another Christmas season at our little community park. God bless each of you.

Please continue to pray for Jett; he was supposed to have been able to come home last week but he was unable to come home for Thanksgiving as he continued undergoing treatment at Stanford. Please let’s all continue to pray for Jett and for all those who are battling.
