Hi all. I hope you are each doing well. What a wonderful place we all call home … Valley Home, Knights Ferry, La Grange, Escalon, Oakdale … we are all very blessed to call this area our home. Such a special weekend filled with so much Christmas cheer and to add to the fun our beautiful ice skating rink. Yes, we are indeed blessed!

This week I would like to update you all on our Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade.

Saturday, December 20th at 6:30pm … Please be in line at 6:15pm near our Pioneer campus.

Parade will go three times around the block ending back at the Community Park.

Immediately after we will gather around our little Community Christmas Tree … our Grand Marshal will light our tree. We will sing a Christmas carol together and then go to pavilion and honor our sweet Bonnie with a beautiful cookie exchange. Bring a dozen; take a dozen … if you are not able to bring cookies, no worries; there will plenty for all to enjoy.

We will make a hot chocolate toast to those who are no longer with us.

Everyone is welcome.

Immediately following the park activities, for each of you who would like to, we will walk (or drive) to the little Lutheran Church … it’s right  around the corner from the park so we will not be getting out on the main road. We will have a non-denominational prayer for all who are fighting a battle or suffering in any way. This very special prayer will be led by our Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Lieutenant and Pastor Brock Condit. Everyone is welcome; we will have a manger scene with local children and as Pastor Brock ends our special prayer, beautiful Christmas bells will ring out, with blessings for each of us.

Happening this week:

Thursday, December 11th our Fire Department will hold their monthly meeting. It will be held at our Valley Home Station, at 10am. I hope you will all come.

Also Thursday, December 11th our Valley Home School PTC will meet at 3:30pm. The meeting will be held in the school library. Discussion topics to include Jog-A-Thon and the upcoming Christmas Store.
