Hi to each of you. I hope you are having a really nice week.

I would like to send a huge “Thank You” to our veterans. We are so grateful to the amazing men and women who sacrifice so much to keep our great country a free country. There is a special place in my heart for our veterans. Many of these special people at an early age, they leave their family , their friends, and the safety of their own homes to go to faraway places, risking their lives to keep us safe. On this Veterans Day … let us each be thankful every day for those who sacrifice so much. God bless our veterans.

I would like to once again offer many thanks to our amazing Stanislaus County Supervisor Mr. Buck Condit. For many, many years, our Valley Home students have walked literally through puddles, and around puddles to get from one campus to the other. We are so blessed that this winter they will no longer need to do that. Supervisor Buck Condit and his fellow supervisors have given us a beautiful, sidewalk for our children to walk on. Now after all these years, our students and staff can walk safely and on dry pavement from one campus to the other, we are so grateful to Buck and to each of our county supervisors.

It is a beautiful fall season here in Valley Home, we are blessed with many beautiful flowers and trees; the gorgeous rustic colors of fall still cling to them. Fall is a lovely time of year in Valley Home.

This week we send well wishes from Valley Home to an amazing Stanislaus County Sheriff K-9 officer, K-9 Kano, who last visited Valley Home during our National Night Out celebration in August. It was great having K-9 Kano and his amazing handler Deputy Melao here with us for the evening. It was a special evening in Valley Home. We will miss K-9 Kano as he goes into retirement … we deeply appreciate his service and his many accomplishments. K 9 Kano has served alongside Deputy Melao since April 2022. We send our heartfelt good wishes to you, K-9 Kano, on your retirement. He was an amazing Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Officer. I will always remember seeing Kano and Deputy Melao, lights flashing, Kano’s name emblazoned on the side of the Sheriff’s Department vehicle, pulling into our Valley Home Park. Kano was ready to serve. We will always be grateful for everything he did for so many. Thank you, K-9 Kano!
