Sunday’s rain and wind storm left a significant impact around town, as powerful winds got the better of many trees and fences. This tree at the west end of the Oakdale High School campus went down from the roots, creating a slight barrier at the corner of West G Street and Hinkley Avenue. There were also some scattered power outages reported due to the high winds on Sunday, Jan. 6 and the weekend brought more than a half-inch of rain to the region.
