California Congressman Tom McClintock will be making a visit to Oakdale on Valentine’s Day.

He is scheduled to meet with local seniors – and other residents who want to join in – during a stop at the Gladys Lemmons Senior Center at 450 E. A St., Oakdale, on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

“This came about quite quickly. It is my understanding that he will arrive between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.,” noted Oakdale Recreation Services Supervisor Jane Finkenbine.

While the visit will be at Senior Center, Finkenbine said it is open to all in the community that have an interest in meeting the congressman. The Fifth Congressional District includes Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa and Tuolumne counties as well as portions of Stanislaus, Madera, Fresno and El Dorado counties.

“It is open to anyone,” Finkenbine stressed. “It is open to all, though we do ask guests to the Senior Center to sign in.”

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. to meet Congressman McClintock at the Senior Center on Feb. 14.
