It will be a special night in Riverbank on Friday, Jan. 16, as the Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Installation Dinner and Awards Night.

Festivities are scheduled to begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the awards ceremony getting underway at 8 p.m.; all taking place at the Antigua Event Center, 3200 Santa Fe St., Riverbank.

Along with awards in multiple categories, the evening will also include the swearing in ceremony for the new Board of Directors for the Riverbank Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber officials issued the following invitation: “Celebrate with us as we honor the outstanding achievements in our community by recognizing the Citizen of the Year, Chamber Business of the Year, and Youth of the Year. This is an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and look forward to an exciting year ahead.”

Considered by many to be the most prestigious honor is the Citizen of the Year selection.

The Riverbank Citizen of the Year has been in existence since 1962. Recently, the Citizen of the Year Committee (Citizen of the Year past recipients) and the Riverbank Chamber of Commerce have collaborated to recognize the hard work, dedication, and outstanding contributions by local citizens and businesses in the Riverbank community.

Information will be shared on the various nominees at the event, capped off with the awards presentation and installation ceremony.
