Oakdale residents are being invited to help shape the city’s 2026 City-Wide Volunteer Day by submitting ideas for community service projects that address local needs.

Love Oakdale announced this week that it is accepting project suggestions for the annual volunteer effort, which brings together residents, businesses, nonprofits and community groups for a morning of service across the city.

Organizers are seeking ideas that support neighbors in need, improve public spaces, assist schools and nonprofits, or provide help to small businesses. Suggested projects may range from neighborhood assistance to beautification efforts or community support initiatives.

Project ideas can be submitted online at loveoakdale.com/Suggest-a-Project, by visiting loveoakdale.com and clicking “Suggest a Project,” or through the link provided in Love Oakdale’s social media bio. Submitted ideas may be selected as official projects for the 2026 volunteer day.

The City-Wide Volunteer Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 25. The event will begin with a Love Oakdale Rally at 8 a.m. and conclude around noon, or after projects are completed, at Dying Breed. Lunch will be provided by the Oakdale Lions Club.

Organizers say the goal is to offer a wide range of projects that serve the entire community, including opportunities focused on the city, neighbors, schools, nonprofits and small businesses. Projects are planned to accommodate volunteers of all ages and abilities.

Group participation is encouraged, including families, coworkers, businesses, churches and civic organizations, which may sign up to work together on a project.

Volunteer project sign-ups will open April 1.

Sponsorship opportunities are expected to be announced soon.
